How To Predict The Future

Predicting the Future

Life is just plain easier when you can see what’s ahead of you. Some leaders clearly have poor vision – their most polished skill seems to be running into brick walls. Other leaders simply possess adequate vision – they avoid the obvious speed bumps, but fail to stand out from the crowd. Then there are those leaders who possess legendary vision – the rare few who can see around corners. What you may not realize is that everyone can learn to see around corners, and it’s not as hard as you think.

The biggest challenge in leadership arises when your leader does not have sufficient confidence in your abilities, and delegation becomes a chore rather than an effortless transfer of critical job functions. “My way is the right way, your approach sucks” becomes the guiding philosophy, greatly shattering team confidence and eventually posing a question mark on the leader’s capability to keep flock together. Unless God intervenes, It’s really a disaster in the pipeline from that moment. From my personal experience, It’s only a rare leader who can “let go” of things, and sleep peacefully in night knowing fully well his team will deliver, he’s able to imbue them with that much confidence and clear direction. You trust him, and he trusts you in return.
